"Few will have the greatness to bend history itself; but each of us can work to change a small portion of events, and in the total of all those acts will be written the history of this generation." -Robert F. Kennedy, Former United States Senator and Attorney General, Robert Kennedy books//
You are making history every day of your life. Your actions, or lack thereof, are part of the vast network of actions occurring across our nation (and the world) by the members of your generation - X, Y, Z, Boomer or Millennial. The world may not remember your name, but it will characterize and categorize your generations' mark on history. Some scholars say that there is no history, only biography. If this is true, it is personal in nature - your family will be, and remember, your legacy. The whole of your peer group, though, will be memorialized, as Kennedy says, through the sum of all its actions. So how do you want to be remembered? Perhaps scientific or technological advances are the most significant things; or, economic progress or the accumulation of wealth is at the top of your list. Maybe it's fighting the good fight against terror in the world, or preserving the values and way of life cultivated at home. There are many things for a which a generation of people may be known a hundred or thousand years from now, and you may be one of the few whose names are carried through to the future. If not, your actions will still be remembered and felt through your family and beyond. You are a maker of history throughout your life - why not make it good!
